So after promising myself for years and years to visit Alaia's store (situated below his apartment) in Paris, I got there. I'm pretty sure my bank manager is composing a scathing letter to me as we speak but boy oh boy was it worth it. Any visitors must speak to Anne, a no nonsense shop assistant who will gladly tell you what you need in your life and what makes you look like you've spend the past month hoarding macaroons at La Duree.

A little Repossi goodness to brighten up a gloomy Halloween Monday night. I spent the majority of my Eurostar journey back to London yesterday staring at an ear cuff which I've decided will be a perfect way to start my jewellery collection which so far consists of fringed wooden earrings purchased from a junk store in Ohio, a lot of feathers, antique religious necklaces and a spiked bracelet from South Africa which I'm pretty sure would scare the shit out of any Transformer.

Ladies just because you're going on a Starbucks run doesn't excuse wearing a Juicy shell suit and pastel coloured Ugg Boots. Take note from Ashley Olsen and disguise birds nest hair with a chic turban, throw on some sunglasses and blind people with a chunky gold Rolex. Alternatively there's my favourite; the faux gym look. Wear workout clothes regardless of not having a gym membership and you can be forgiven for being barefaced and messy haired.
If you insist on skateboarding why don't you do everyone a favour and find a Celine inspired skateboard. This most certainly prevent Mrs Kravitz from calling the police and complaining about the adolescents outside her window doing kick flips and indy's (that is the total extent of my skateboard chat).

I remember seeing Ulyana Sergeenko at the Dior Couture show in Paris last year and being fascinated by her long peasant dress, ruby red lips and turban. She coquettishly smiled at my marabou white Jason Wu jacket and I distinctly thought to myself how refreshing it was to see yards and yards of fabric rather than tanned limbs galore.

Marchesa does old Hollywood glamour at it's best. If I was more of a night owl I'd be saving my pennies for this even if it was for bar snacks at my nearest hotel.

This weekend I made time to see Woody Allen's latest film Midnight in Paris. I can't remember the last time that I saw such a breathtaking movie. Ever since I was given a starring role in Bugsy Malone aged 10 I fell in love with all things 20s. I began collecting dresses, hats, furs and bags from the 20s which later turned into a mad perfume bottle and pyjama collection. This movie really is perfection, I'm already planning my next trip to Paris and will keep my eyes peeled for Ernest Hemmingway crusing the streets of Paris in a 90 year old Peugeot.
There is something quite wonderful about the Olsen twins. I'm not sure if they look like they've gone to a vintage store and packed on as many clothes as possible and walked out to start their day or their huge dark eyebrows and mane of blonde hair (a look which I can very much relate to). In a world where it seems that young girls seem to all dress the same and strive for expensive looking pieces that are...well, expensive having two odd coffee guzzling twins dressed as the Miss Havisham from the 21st century is frankly quite refreshing.

Love my freshwater pearl earrings found in Capri this summer with a 70s Missoni jewel toned wrap dress. Perfect for date night.

Thierry Lasry sunglasses are the next best thing since Ray Ban's aviators. Chunky, gradient lenses and oversized. They tick every box. Get yours now at NAP.

This to me is the perfect outfit for autumn. Cozy greys and oatmeals in different textures. Perfection, minus the palaeontologist boots.
Beautiful makeup at Louis Vuitton SS12. Ballet dancer with a dash of The Only Way is Essex.

I almost had a nap on this Giambattista number in Harvey Nichols. And don't think I haven't noticed you Charlotte Olympia Pandora clutch.
Chanel's new Boy Bags are the fashion version of the Loch Ness Monster. They seem like a phenomenon only very few get to experience. These bags sold out like hot cakes and finding one is indeed as tricky as capturing a picture of our jurassic friend.
Top of my Christmas wish list but somehow I'm not sure that Santa will be able to pull this one off.

If you didn't notice a trend by now, I have a clinical problem for Alaia and Azzaro. They produce the perfect balance of classic pieces with a twist so rather than looking like a plain Jane in a fabulously constructed dress you will be transformed into something far more fierce with a dash of Grace Kelly.

Loree Rodkin makes the best rings out there. I'll take one each, a snip at £15,000.
Desired outfit for today.
PS. Leopard goes with everything and to all the people who knock is, it's only tacky when it's a matching velour tracksuit.

When I was a little girl, my mother used to religiously take me to the ballet. Swan Lake was one of my favourite stories where a cursed princess was transformed into a swan and only at night would she turn into her true form...Anna Dello Russo killing it outside the Ritz in Paris.

Time to head to your local craft store to buy some faux pearls and a glue gun. There's a sentence I'd never thought I'd say. Karl told me so.
