It's funny how a girl from rural Somerset nailed California festival chic better than the locals. Katy Perry's nightmare romper suit would have only worked on a Cabbage Patch Kid, whilst Fergie got a little carried away with fringe and covering every inch of her body in cream gauze.
Rosie got Coachella-chic spot on, apart from her 1985 East Ender's boots I have no complaints.
One of my Alaia S/S picks. You can't go wrong with black & white and classic polka dots. I'm slightly offended with the shoes that Browns paired this with and the headmistress clutch bag.

Being English, nakedness is generally something that's frowned upon. Us prude Brit's wouldn't quite know what to do with ourself if we saw Erin Wasson wearing this getup; this makes it all the more fabulous. A little nipple never hurt anyone.
There's nothing I adore more than a good bag. Chanel's Boy Bag was my autumn must have but with the bright colours I think I may need to add to my collection for summer. Hopefully it will be a while before this trend cracks Essex. Lauren Goodger does nothing for bags.

I can't get enough of neon right now. Don't just limit yourself to a pair of neon jeans (Zara and JBrand have the best on offer). Neon can be enjoyed everywhere which may be good for some and horribly offensive for others.
I've already booked myself in for a pedicure to change my neon pink toes to yellow. Even though it's monsoon season in London at least I know there's a hidden surprise under my wooly socks.

The Balmain winter collection is so yummy. Sleek, elegant, fairly simple with just enough glitz, sequins and velvet to please my inner showgirl.

I'm going through a phase where I'm so bored of jeans. Life is so short so why stick to a uniform. I love these Zara low slung flared black pants. A perfect way to switch up your wardrobe.

I must say that in general I'm sick and tired of Celine bags. I feel they are more of a trend rather than a classic piece BUT I'm truly, madly, deeply in love with the lemon yellow Phantom bag. I feel this is one of my must have bag for summer.

Whilst researching articles for my dissertation, I happened to log onto net-a-porter and find this. I was instantly transported from my room surrounded with piles of books, paper and deadlines to Portofino with crisp pastel linen shirts, the smell of lemons in the morning and golden skin with the odd freckle. That brief mental trip and the realisation that this is D&G's final collection ever (not like you paid it too much attention before) did it for me.
Welcome to my wardrobe scarf dress.
I adore Isabel Marant's cowboy inspired ankle boots for fall. I love them so much that I'm fast forwarding summer and already thinking about wearing ankle boots when the leaves change.

Say ahoy to spring in style with this Burberry men's raffia sailor hat. Perfect for Sunday morning hair.

No one quite does the model off-duty look like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Miranda Kerr. Simple pieces paired together with a bare (so we think) face and clean healthy hair. Their wardrobes are built up of staple pieces: Balenciaga and Isabel Marant jackets, leather trousers, skinny jeans, soft knitted tops and luxe bags. A reminder that often the quality of a piece trumps quantity.
Take note Primark.

If you don't know who Alexandra Spencer is then you must have been living on the moon. This Aussie beauty shows us exactly what summer makeup and hair is all about, a little sexy smudge of kohl, untouched beachy hair and piles of chunky jewellery.

Rosie may need to chill out with the pout but her hair is certainly ticking all the right boxes. Perfectly coloured, perfectly cut and perfectly undone-done.

This is what you'd get if Little House on the Prairie had a love child with a model go-see before Paris Fashion Week. I'm going to have to prepare myself (and my bank manager) for housing this collection into my wardrobe. The wish list is endless, red fringed jeans, leopard jacket, cropped cowboy/hybrid boots, lace dress/skirt/shirt/anything. Ouch.
There are rings and then there are RINGS. These Repossi's are the later.
Find yours at Colette in Paris or Dover Street Market.

I must say that my perception of Louboutin has changed over the years. Gone are the days when my 13 year old self tried to accompany my mother to Paris where she would go to his only shop in search of the little known but treasured footwear. In recent years there has been a Christian Louboutin overload, I must say after seeing the Kardashian's in a new pair of Daffodil's every day (this includes the 14 year old protege being groomed by Kris Jenner before our very eyes) and crystal encrusted platforms being donned by reality 'stars' entering the Big Brother house or some other dreadful reality show Louboutin has lost its appeal.
I was happily surprised to see the new spring summer collection and cannot wait to sink my heels into the modern day clear Cindarella slippers or add a bit of differentiation to my daily uniform of jeans and a tshirt with leopard raffia wedges. Keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed that we won't see these on Kim Kardashian in one of her reality show nightmares.

Just when you thought Isabel Marant produced her best collection yet she manages to outdo herself. Her SS collection features an aray of fabulous trousers that will take you from spring to summer to autumn (heck let's throw in winter too). The hardest part will be deciding which one's your favourite. I've endured sleepless nights over python print cords or acid wash skinny jeans.
I never said it would be easy.
