There is nothing about Zara's August Lookbook that I don't love. Each and every look is perfection. A blend of Chanel, Celine and Balmain, Zara has knocked it out of the park and has proved that remortgaging your house isn't necessary for a stylish wardrobe filled with classic pieces for fall.

I've had a little laptop emergency. Apparently piles of soft blankets aren't the correct way to balance a computer. My cosy diy desk-on-the-bed idea sadly turned into a bit of a slip and slide an resulted in a sad Mac who has to go in for surgery tomorrow. Wish him luck and hopefully I'll be back to the blog in no time.

Having your nails perfectly manicured can really polish up your look even if your hair hasn't seen a comb for days. The nails at the most recent Chanel show are my inspiration for my next trip to the nail salon but for now I'm happy with Essie Jelly Apple setting off my golden tan.

I probably won't win many fans by saying this but I love fur. Provided that it has been as ethically sourced as possible (after watching a shocking PETA video about the fur trade then absolutely nothing that comes from China will come near me. The absolute cruelty inflicted upon these animals will stick with me for a long time). I generally prefer vintage fur as you are essentially recycling rather than creating demand for newer pieces.

Having said this during one of my online window shopping sessions I cam across the above goodness from Fendi and YSL (who else). I'm fully prepared to jet right out of sunny California and back to rainy London so I can wear a fur trimmed cardigan, leggings and killer pumps. What warped priorities.

There's something about pastel coloured fine jewellery that gets my mouth watering. Perhaps it's my soft spot for gummy rings or perhaps it's the fact that nothing looks better in the Summer sun that a honking big aquamarine smothered in diamonds.

My money is on the latter.
