Natalia Vodianova has always been my eyebrow and hair icon. Effortless and always chic. Puts the Scouse Brow to shame.

Beautiful shoes have the potential to make or break an outfit. I have been fascinated by shoes since I can remember. They can transform jeans and a tshirt into something totally unique and breathtaking. Not only this but they have the same effect on many as an antidepressant, I know all too well the benefits of new shoes when you're stuck in a rut even if it means that you need to sacrifice that weekly manicure, groceries or rent.
Julia Sarr-Jamois wears her silver Alaia booties beautifully. They transform her dress which could have been a disaster with the wrong footwear.

I've never been big into jewellery. Costume jewellery normally looks more Rue Paul instead of Rue Fabourg St Honore to me. However Dannijo has dispelled my dislike for oversized crystals with their 30s inspired pieces which would look best with jeans and a tshirt. Full on but still elegant. Gatsby would be proud.
Wearing your fathers old tshirts he snagged from a golf trip no longer cuts it for the gym. Gym chic calls for sleek work out gear with oversized glasses, bucket bags and a little leather.
Please remember that wearing makeup to the gym is an absolute no no, you will either look like a husband stealer or lost.

I'm really into one pieces recently. I find them far more sexy and elegant than string bikinis. This Michael Kors swimsuit is one of the best that I've seen recently. Just enough Grecian and Studio 54 to make everyone forget you're wearing red lipstick and 6inch heels to the pool.

While these shoes may horrify most they bring me back to my childhood of sitting in front of my TV and watching the Wizard of Oz. A little bit of Dorothy's sparkle and a lot of the Cowardly Lion with a side of bad ass bling. Certainly not for the fainthearted but I predict that I will be prancing around in these paw shoes sooner than Dorothy and Toto can tap their heels to get home to Auntie Em in Kansas.

Whilst most bloggers are churning out pictures of Bardot faster than the Kardashian's are coming out with a new reality show I'd much rather a picture of Jean Shrimpton. The Shrimp was more Sauvignon Blanc than Cristal, more Mummy's favourite than Daddy's buxom fantasy gal and more Aston Martin than spinning rims. Her classic elegance mixed with kohl lined doe eyes and a whispy fringe was a recipe for success. Introverted sex appeal at its best.
You no longer have to be 11 or Amish to wear braids. Loose braids, fishtail braids, side braids, French braids even Heidi braids. Just be advised that anyone over the age of 11 shouldn't attempt pig tail braids unless they're heading over to Oktoberfest.

I have a love-hate relationship with Herve Leger. I love it when it's in houndstooth with metal embellishment and hate it when it's seen on anyone that's been on a reality show (please take note TOWIE). In order to pull one of these off you need to follow these simple guidelines:
1. Spanx even if you're a size 6.
2. Absolutely no push-up bra/chicken fillets/socks to enhance your cleavage. You'll either look like one of Tila Tequila's ex-girlfriends or a street walker (both are fairly similar categories).
3. Pair with denim jackets, boxy blazers or quirky waistcoats.
4. Minimal makeup.
After hearing about grotesque £12,000,000 weddings it's so refreshing and wonderfully quaint that Lauren Bush and David Lauren's wedding was extraordinary and all-American.
Their wedding was straight out of Legends of the Fall right down to their wedding photos. I was almost expecting stories of a saloon brawl ending in smashed whiskey bottles and bloodstained chaps. Lauren's stunningly beautiful Ralph Lauren gown completely overshadowed the issue with her married name, Lauren Lauren.

I never met a piece of fringe I didn't like and Irish designer Tim Ryan's pieces are no exception. His clothing has all the fringe-elements on my list: gloriously silky, something that could be worn by a slightly crazy pottery teacher and a beautiful home-made feel.
Mark my words that Tim is the new kid on the knitwear block.

Yesterday I had the honour of being invited to meet Patrick Demarchelier at the Dior store on Bond Street where he was signing copies of his beautiful new book featuring images he shot of Dior's creations.
Demarchelier was wonderful, seemingly wise, incredibly calm and refreshingly 'normal'. I suppose this is all down to his imminent month-long trip to St Barths.
This is a beautiful book to have on your coffee table and flip through the images of breathtaking designs. Regardless of Galliano's rather archaic views on life I'm sure we can all appreciate his artistry. After all he wouldn't be a true master with out a little contrevery. Perhaps next time he'd be better off cutting off part of his ear instead of drunken drizzle.

Karlie Kloss photographed by Terry Richardson for the November issue of UK Vogue.
This editorial is the epitome of holiday chic. Studio 54 with a dash of Park Avenue Princess mixed with Downtown cool. Perfect in every way.
Next time you think about throwing on some glittery nightmare, please remember these pictures and think about how Christmas dressing doesn't have to involve something short, sequinned and tight.
