I generally won't post a scathing review or waste my time writing about something that I'm not adoring but this company has really rubbed me up the wrong way.

I bought a few items from Virgo's Lounge online on a whim while I was in Thailand six weeks ago (and was probably suffering from sunstroke). I ordered two dresses and a sweater; upon arriving home I was pleasantly surprised that the sweater wasn't a ball of acrylic yarn but the dresses looked very badly made and that they would end up bursting into a ball of fire if anywhere near an open flame. I immediately contacted their 'customer service' and returned them. To this day I haven't heard a thing or received a penny back from them; I have emailed their customer services numerous times and other than spamming them with resending my email (this is my next plan of action) I am at a loss of what to do next.

I have never experienced such a poor level of customer service and such a total reluctance refusal to reimburse shoppers for returns.

I warn each and every one to avoid purchasing anything from this shambolic company unless you feel like burning some of your hard earned cash.

  1. I had a horrendous time trying to get a refund.

    They failed to acknowledge my returned goods (sent back a day after I received them because 2didnt fit and one was the wrong size they sent in error).

    I hounded them for 2 weeks, was sent an email by the apologising and promising to deal with my refund of £374 in 3-5 days.

    After another 2 weeks, still no refund.

    Finally got. Y refund back with no apology after I threatened to report them to the Office of Fair Trading and actually did report them to the Citizens Advice Bureau.

    I am DISGUSTED and have never been so badly treated as a customer. I have posted on Facebook and searched on the Internet and it seems my experience is not unique.

    In these times of recession and competition from other retailers who also want our money, surely Virgos Lounge can't continue like this if they want more customers?!

    I will definitely not be buying anything from them again, despite already spending around £300 and as a journalist, I will be using my skills and influence to spread the word until they significantly improve their customer service.
